At the USA Vascular
Centers, our staff consists of well-experience medical professionals from
vascular surgeons in California to specialists in New York. While you may recognize our practice for
vascular issues, such as peripheral artery disease and fallopian tube
recanalization, we also specialize in spine health. Our vascular surgeons who
treat our patients with severe back pain typically operate on collapsed
vertebrae due to fractures or osteoporosis.
If you experience
back pain, you understand the chronic, agonizing sensation that comes with it.
Additionally, you may be limited in your physical activities, your strength,
and even decrease your height. Our mission is to improve the health, mobility,
and comfort of each patient who suffers from severe chronic back pain. With our
advanced, minimally evasive procedure, we will relieve you of your back pain
within no time!
For our patients,
such as those who seek spinal fracture treatment in Illinois, California, or
New York, we perform a non-surgical procedure called Kyphoplasty. This
procedure corrects the collapsed vertebrae, directly improving your back pain,
posture, and mobility. By definition, Kyphoplasty is performed by one of our
vascular surgeons inserting a small tube into your back via an incision smaller
than the size of a Band-Aid. The procedure is conducted in one of our clinics
and you are given either a local anesthetic or sedative to help you relax and
become calm. Once the tube has been inserted, an x-ray is used to locate the
damaged vertebrae. At the vertebrae, a small balloon is release from the tube
and begins to inflate in the surrounding area of the fractured vertebrae. After
inflated, your vascular surgeon will release bone cement mixture which hardens
and provides support to your spinal column. Instantly, your spine will begin to
correct in posture, allowing weight and pressure to be evenly distributed.
Following the
procedure, you will spend the first few hours in our recovery room, allowing
your body to wake up normally and expel the sedatives. Typically, patients can
expect to go home the same day with little to no complications. At home, our
surgeons recommend resting for a few days, followed by six weeks of refraining
from strenuous lifting or exercises. In some cases, patients who receive
Kyphoplasty experience relief from their symptoms instantly. Others report
their symptoms diminishing altogether within the week or two following the
procedure.
From our vascular surgeons in California to our spinal fracture treatment in Illinois, our
medical professionals at the USA Vascular Centers are committed to providing
you with relief from your back pain and increasing your quality of life, all by
starting with your first patient consultation!
